Prof. Dr. Juliane Brach is a specialist for economic development, change management, technology, entrepreneuship, and emerging countries, especially in the Middle East and North Africa. She is full Professor at the HSB Hochschule Bremen - City University of Applied Sciences and the founder and managing director of the Knowledge Company. Dr. Juliane Brach holds a Master´s degree in International Economics from the University of Tübingen and a Ph.D. (Dr. rer.pol., summa cum laude) in Business and Social Sciences from the University of Hamburg, Germany. She has also studied in Damascus and Copenhagen and speaks, reads and writes 7 languages. Earlier in her career, Dr. Juliane Brach was advisor to the European Commission, DG Innovation & Research, research fellow at the Maastricht School of Management, external lector & supervisor at the Department of Economics at the University of Copenhagen, assistant research professor for technology and development at the Department of Economics, University of Copenhagen, head of the research team for innovation and growth at the German Institute of Global and Area Studies in Hamburg and visiting researcher at the Department for Business and Management at Aalborg University, Campus Copenhagen. She received several research scholarships from prestigious institutions such as the German Research Council, and has an outstanding record in third party funding acquisition.
